We have just returned home after a lovely week in Southwold House (Marlborough House) with our large family including two children. It certainly lived up to the description on the website! It's a beautiful property with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms with excellent bedding and towels and in an enviable position close to the seafront, beach and town centre. Angela W. My family and I enjoy our annual visit to Southwold, this year's was made
even more memorable by our stay in Southwold house. Everything about
the house is really great. The decor is beautiful, enhanced by the attention to detail, lots of pictures etc.The large kitchen, very well equipped. Very comfortable lounge plenty of seating. The master bedroom is delightful, so spacious, and well appointed. Every room is furnished to a high standard. Bedding is very good, lovely, good sized soft towels.
We all loved the house, definitely the best we have stayed in over the last
20 odd years and hope to return next year.

A beautiful family property in a location right next to the seafront. Lots of space in an elegant family friendly environment-perfect for families or groups of friends on a relaxing holiday or celebrating a special occasion.Some rooms have sea views and balconies, and the sound of the waves can be heard from the front bedrooms, including the enormous en-suite master bedroom. Comfortable beds throughout and pretty courtyards large enough to sit out in front and rear. Wonderfully well equipped, the owner has though of every detail here. Free wi-fi. Lots of easy un-metered parking nearby. 1 small dog welcome too. The house can be configured to sleep 10+2 with ground floor sleeping option using the back family room double sofa bed (no linen provided)


Easy to operate digital central heating. Large range style gas cooker. Large selection of gas hobs. One large and one smaller TV/DVD. Gas flame effect woodburning stove. Two large Fridge/Freezers. Microwave. Dishwasher. Washing machine and Tumble Dryer. (in utility room) Four slice toaster. Selection of Children's books and games. Digital radios. Hair dryers. Free WI-FI. Small patio/seating area at rear, with wrought iron outdoor table and chairs seating 4 and a padded bench. Small seating area with bench to the front to 'people watch' Outdoor tap at entrance, useful for sandy toes!


One small dog allowed by prior arrangement. Regret no smokers.
